About You

MAYBE YOU'RE A LIFE COACH

Your clients often feel overwhelmed. You aim to ease this. You want your website to make them feel calm and assured.

Calm doesn't mean boring. The difference is slight yet achievable.

OR YOU'RE A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER

You know organizing isn't just about discarding items. You've invested time and money to master your craft. You're committed.

Strangely, many clients think they know your job. If that were true, why do so many have messy closets?

OR PERHAPS YOU FOLLOW THE K.I.S.S. METHOD.

Do I need to say more about you?

I didn't think so.

You may have thought about creating your own site.

You're capable of figuring it out. Start by setting aside time to research website platforms, design aesthetics, and current trends. Then, allow more time to learn how all the details come together. And, of course, even more time for the trial and error that's bound to happen.

Doesn't it make more sense to hire someone who's already familiar with the process?

About Me

I’m an Organizer Coach.

(Think professional organizer meets life coach.)

I’ve had my own business since leaving the corporate world in 2011. I also happen to have a knack for creating websites.

I created my first website when I was just starting up. I was utterly obsessed with the process. (Thus proving that one person’s ”tedious details” is another’s “engaging puzzle.”)

People liked my site and asked me to help them with theirs, and that's how my side gig began. It didn't feel like a stretch, since I approached website building in much the same way I do my organizing work - just in a different context.

For me, creating websites is a process of gathering what’s needed and removing everything else. My sites have an easy flow, and distractions are minimal. Nothing to overwhelm the eye.

Calm by design.

Then, I add the touches that reveal the owner’s distinct personality. Clean layouts to share content on a website that feels personal to both the owner and the visitor.

Almost imperceptibly, onsite organizing has now become the side gig. Allow me to re-introduce myself…

I’m a website designer for life coaches and professional organizers.

I also happen to have a knack for organizing.

About your Website

The Design

It's fun to stay current with the latest design trends, which is a natural part of my daily work. However, being aware of the latest trends is only half the battle. Understanding your clients and what they'll appreciate is even more vital.

While a modern look is great, the most important thing is to choose a design that will appeal specifically to your client.

Here’s what I mean… Having your website with a black background was a trend. But think about your clients. Which will be more important to them:

  • easy reading of your site on their cell phone at night?

  • landing on a clean, uncluttered, easy-to-navigate (organized) site?

Both design approaches are valid. When considering your clients, remember that a younger crowd who primarily use mobile devices might appreciate “dark mode.” However, if your clients have trouble focusing, they may prefer a site with brightly colored links and an easy-to-navigate layout.

Where do your clients land? Let’s go there.

Organizing the Content

Here's what matters when it comes to your site's content: one key idea stands out.

People don't visit your site to learn about you and your story.

They come to see how you can help them.

When we work together, I'll give you content guides to create resources your clients will love. We'll build a website that showcases your unique personality.
